The Chronicles of Tyger Dornoby
A Murderer

Trust and Belief

When we are young. if we are raised in a safe and trusting environment, we believe in our government, our country, our city, our neighborhood, our family unless and until we are given reason not to.

We trust our parents, the authorities, our leaders. We want to believe in them even after they seek to harm us.

We trust in good, the good of our family, the good of our nation, the good of our country, the good of our neighbor country, and the good of the world.

As we grow older we do not simply decide one day, without reason, to stop believing. We would gladly believe for the rest of our lives.

There has to be – a drastic injury, a travesty, an attack upon, a persecution, a targeting, a critical deliberate deceitful harm discovered or exposed – for us to be disillusioned. There must be a deliberate victimization and exploitation of us, or someone very close to us – for our beliefs to be overturned.

There has to come the Saul/Paul moment.

Death of LJ

My ten year younger brother operated.started a garage where he fixed cars. At least that’s what I thought. In actuality his garage was a chop shop.

He had two acquaintances he wanted to become closer to, in order to facilite upward mobility. They were each the son of a father who was a person of importance in a crime family.

He also had a real true friend he had known for years.

For one reason or another the two sons of established crime figures took a dislike to my brother’s best friend. Perhaps the best friend owed them money, perhaps they just didn’t like his face, I don’t know. I do know that they were going around the city telling everybody they met that when they found my brother’s best friend they were going to kill him. My brother had already told me a rumor, that I did not really listen to, that they had already killed someone and paid another guy to take the fall for it.

The two crime sons were unsuccessful in finding my brother’s best friend, no matter where they looked, who they asked, or threatened. No one would betray him.

Knowing the person they wanted to kill was my brother’s best friend, and knowing my brother was seeking connection, they asked my brother, to call his friend on the phone and invite the friend to meet my brother in my brother’s chop shop.

This my brother did, assuring his friend that it would just be the two of them, he wouldn’t tell anyone and they would be completely safe. There is no dispute about these details.
